In October 2022, volunteers were filmed in Henley Green Community Garden by the Better Homes and Gardens crew! We had Graham Ross and Ed Halmagyi come down and chat to us about the garden and what is produced there. Then Ed cooked up a storm for our volunteers! Thanks BHG for the fun couple of days!

Babies to Henley!
We are proud to announce the birth of four little baby chooks on Friday 9th September at Riverside Preschool!!
The babies will make Henley Green their new home once they are old enough to leave their foster Mum, Pamela’s house.

We are excited to announce that we are a 2022 Australia Post Community Grant recipient for our project Humans Grow at the Green. This grant will enable us to reconnect our community after Covid-19 disconnected us. We will do this through a series of workshops in 2023 including a human library series, gut health workshops and small indoor garden building sessions.

Fun Night in the Garden
On Saturday 6th August, about 60 Henley “Greeners” and other lovely locals joined together to enjoy warm soup, crusty bread, yummy desserts, wine, gin and laughs around the firepit at Henley Green Community Garden.
Thank you to those who attended and a huge thanks to those who took the time to bake, cook and prepare for our fun night!!
Visit from Villa Maria Grade 5
On Friday 17th June 2022 we had a visit from the Year 5 group at Villa Maria Catholic Primary School in Hunters Hill.
They walked from school to see Henley Green Community Garden in action and discover how permaculture worked.
What a delightful bunch of kids! Smart, engaging and helpful! Thanks to their lovely teachers and parents.

We have gone solar!!
Thank you to the Federal Government! We won a Powering Communities Grant enabling us to put some solar panels on the roof of our shed and power our activities ourselves! With huge help from the sun of course!!
As we do not use much power, the bulk goes back into the grid, assisting our partners at Hunters Hill Council

One bottle for each night to be won by Henley Green Community Garden members who use the code HenBuffalo when purchasing tickets to Thursday 17th and/or Saturday 19th June at 7:30pm.
The Comedy night includes a changing line-up of some of Australia's finest comedians, hosted by Shake, Stir, Muddle and ABC radio's cocktail queen Carolyn Swindell and the team at Buffalo Vale Distillery.
Rules of Entry
1. Entry is open to all Happy Hens Community Garden members.
2. Happy Hens members who purchase a ticket for the Thursday or Saturday night of the Hunters Hill Comedy Fest 2021 (17 and 19 June) during the entry period AND enter the code HenBuffalo at checkout will go into the draw to win one 700 mL First Batch bottle of Buffalo Vale Distillery's Henley Green Community Garden Gin. There is one prize for Thursday and one for Saturday. Prize is not redeemable for cash.
3. Entries are open from 26 May and close at 6:30pm Saturday 19 June.
4. The winners will be drawn on Monday 21 June and notified via email.
